Clark Murder Trial Attorney Hopes To Remove Autopsy From Evidence

An Odessa man is scheduled to stand trial for murder later this month, but now, his lawyer is hoping to keep a key piece of evidence from the courtroom.
Jan David Clark has been charged with killing his wife more than two years ago. But The Odessa American is reporting that Clark's defense attorney Lawrence Barber filed a pre-trial motion yesterday to exclude his wife's autopsy from trial evidence. That autopsy was done in Tarrant County and Barber says it should have been conducted in Ector County.
For now, Clark's trial is set for September 14th. But if the motion is passed, the trial could be pushed back.
