Midland Sees A Spike in Burglaries

There's been a spike in robberies in the Tall City recently and Midland Police are stepping up efforts to stop the crimes.
Burglaries were up 18 percent for the first half of 2010 from 2009 figures. Now, the police department hopes to reduce these thefts by 5 percent by the end of the year.
Police have been patrolling parking lots at apartment complexes, but they're also reminding Midlanders to lock doors, windows and cars. People should also report any suspicious activity they see to police.
