Abortion was legalized in the United States in 1973 by a Supreme Court ruling that caused a massive division across the nation. Pro-Life and Pro-Choice stances came out of that division.
On Friday, the diocese of San Angelo held their annual Pro-Life Mass in Midland across from the Planned Parenthood clinic downtown. Led by Bishop Michael Pfeiffer, the group prayed for the unborn, and the unborn who never had a chance at life.
"One of the uncompromisable beliefs of the Catholic Church is life," Jimmy Patterson of the diocese told Big 2. "We don't bend on that."
The group also says that the plight of the unborn has been dehumanized, and they view all unborn children as a life with great potential.
