Lots of employees enjoyed a day off of work on Labor Day, but there were a few that still had to clock in. So, the Olive Garden decided to treat some of those workers to a free lunch.
The restaurant delivered food to fire stations, police departments, emergency rooms and military bases across the country, as a way of saying thank you. Local firefighters were very thankful for the food.
"They're extra happy because lunch is actually going to be good," Midland Fire Chief Drew Peters told Big 2. "If I was going to cook it probably wouldn't have been, so they're really happy about that also."
Every Olive Garden in the country took part in today's event.
