Midland County Sheriff's Office Investigates Possible Homicide

The Midland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder in the county.This incident happened on County Road 1278 Sunday night around 9:30 PM. Deputies were called to the home after shots were fired. They found a 51-year old woman dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Neighbors tell Big 2 News the 51-year-old was really happy and upbeat every time they saw her or talked to her.

"She was a really sweet lady. She seemed to really enjoy her children and her grandchildren," said one of her neighbors.


Police say two other people and a revolver were at the residence. The victim's body was sent to Fort Worth for an autopsy.
