A former Permian High School teacher has been indicted by an Ector County grand jury, after he was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Robert Young resigned as a math teacher in June, after the charges first came out. Prosecutors say that Young had sex with an 18-year old student who was not in any of his classes. An anonymous tip to police started the investigation.
Young is out on $20,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years behind bars.
