Since 1991, Habitat for Humanity has been building homes in Midland. They've helped people that otherwise couldn't afford a house.
Now, they are wrapping up work on their 100th home and working on the next two. Since it's a major milestone for the non-profit, they're feeling extra pride with this home. So are the volunteers that come out on a regular basis to make their town a little better.
"It's a way I can give back. I'm retired, I've lived a good life," volunteer John Holmes told Big 2. "This country has been good to me. I can give back to a program I really believe in."
Holmes is part of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, (R.S.V.P.), where seniors find numerous ways to help different charities.
