Employees at the Midland County Annex building had a brief scare this morning after someone smelled an alarming odor.
The annex was evacuated, but it turned out the smell came from a blown out fuse.
"We had a power outage at the County Annex Building," Midland County Fire Marshall Dale Little told Big 2. "The generator kicked on and during the running of the generator diesel smoke got inside the north hallway which caused the building to be evacuated."
Little told Big 2 the situation was minor. Power was restored and employees were back to work by one this afternoon.
