Reeves County Commissioners Skip Out On Work

County commissioners in Reeves County had their fingers crossed today, hoping two of their fellow commissioners would show up to court.Unfortunately, they both skipped out.
County commissioners Rojelio "Roy" Alvarado and Saul Herrera weren't present at yesterday's scheduled meeting. So, County Judge Sam Contreras, recessed the meeting until this morning. Again, both were absent.
It's believed the two are doing this so they don't have to vote on the budget which is passed deadline already. The budget includes the new tax rate and approval of bond projects that would fund the golf courses and ball parks.
