Two Reeves County commissioners were no-shows at a scheduled meeting Tuesday.
That meeting was postponed until Wednesday afternoon, but the commissioners didn't show up then either. The commissioners in question are Roy Alvarado and Saul Herrera. They could have been skipping out on the meeting to hold up the budget vote, since four commissioners must be present to vote.
The new proposed budget for the county includes a new tax rate and approval of bond projects that would fund the golf courses and ball parks. A representative from the county office told Big 2 that the county would use last year's budget instead.
