Thursday was a huge day for the Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Nursing in Odessa.
The school was celebrating 25 years in the Permian Basin. Texas Tech Chancellor Kent Hance took part in today's celebration, along with the center's president Tedd Mitchell, who says that "we're trying to help people appreciate what the presence of the School of Nursing has done for the local community, for West Texas, for the state, and for the rest of the country."
The school has come a long way. A group of 13 students was their first graduating class.
