One of the men accused of savagely beating an Odessa man to death has taken a plea deal in Seattle.
Marcus Dennis will now testify against the other suspect, Steve Bauder, as the trial continues. In exchange for that testimony, Dennis won't serve more than 25 years behind bars.
Both Dennis and Bauder are accused of beating Noel Lopez to death at a Seattle construction site in 2008. Lopez - who was an Odessa native - had a history of mental illness, which sometimes led to him challenge friends to fights.
