A unique fundraiser was held over the weekend to try and raise money for a kidney transplant. Debra Jackson is in need of a new kidney. That's exactly why First Church of the Nazarene held the fundraiser Saturday, which included a bake sale, homemade crafts, a brisket, chicken, and sausage dinner...even a silent auction.

November 10th is when the surgery is scheduled to take place. What's interesting is...Jackson was unsuccessful when first trying to find a match, despite the fact that her husband was willing to donate.

"They put our information into a program and found a match for me. He matches the other person, so it's called pairing...where he will donate to the person needing the kidney and their person is going to donate to me," Jackson said.

All four surgeries will be done at the same time, and this will take place at the Methodist Transplant Hospital in San Antonio. If you'd like to help them out financially, there's an account set up at Security State Bank under the name Debra Jackson.
