If you like to laugh then hopefully you made it out to the the Yucca Theatre on Saturday night. The inaugural Tall City Comedy Fest took place at the home of Summer Mummers. Local comedians took the stage talking about everything from politics to pop culture.

This all got started when Joe Thomason, of Midland, saw Bonnie MacFarlane on Comedy Central and realized just how funny she is.

"I looked her up on the internet, sent her an e-mail and said...what would you think about coming to Midland, Texas and doing a comedy show headlining for some local comedians? She said sure. My husband is Rich Vos...can he come too? I was like...cool. I've seen him on Comedy Central as well. That would be great," Thomason said.

Big 2's Jay Plyburn had the honor of emceeing the event on Saturday, which brought in hundreds of people from across the area. Some of the local performers included Trudie Thomason, Alex Albrecht, Jeremy Wood, Justin and Ashley Tate, Jason Kelliher, Eric Kader, and Staci LaPlante.
