ODESSA -- Firefighters are usually associated with the color red. But on Wednesday, they were sporting pink.
The men and women of the Odessa Fire Department were wearing pink shirts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. But the goal is about more than just raising awareness. It's also about raising money, and  they're doing that by selling those pink T-shirts to the public.
"The profits, they give to the Susan G. Komen foundation, and they also keep half here for local firefighter's spouses and children, who have cancer as well," OFD Captain Saul Ortega told Big 2.
The departments has and children sizes available, but they're almost sold out. If anyone would like to help them out, they can head to the Odessa Fire Department headquarters, located at 1100 West 2nd St in Odessa, or give the department a call at (432) 257-0502.
