ODESSA -- Halloween is on Sunday, but for some people, the spooky holiday has already gotten started.
Every year families want to make sure that kids are safe when they go trick or treating, and some aren't comfortable with kids going door to door. That's why Odessa Police and Fire have been teaming up for years, offering a safe alternative.
On Friday, costumed kids came by the central fire station to grab some treats.
"We've got a lot of the kids coming by with some really good costumes," Odessa Fire Department Captain Dale Land told Big 2. "We're just having a good time, having a lot of fun."
There are also a number of different fall festivals and celebrations going on throughout the weekend.
