ODESSA -- A former Odessa firefighter is back behind bars for allegedly violating his probation.
Richard Kilgore was arrested on Friday. Kilgore, 38, was originally arrested back in September 2009 on burglary charges.
According to The Odessa American, homeowners said that Kilgore tried to break into their home on Redbud with a butane tank. He later told authorities that he had too much to drink and thought it was his own house. Kilgore resigned from the fire department and and was given probation after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.
Kilgore is being held in the Ector County Detention Center.
