ODESSA -- An accident in Odessa sent two people to the hospital Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at South Dixie and Ruth around 11:30 AM Tuesday. Police say 17 year-old Elvis Ortiz was about to get pulled over for a traffic violation, when an officer saw him accelerate and crash into another vehicle. That sent the second car into a church parking lot, where it slammed into two parked cars.
Ortiz was thrown out of his vehicle, and he and the other driver were both taken to Medical Center Hospital. Charges are pending.
