MIDLAND -- School districts all across the country are involved in a program called Head Start.
The goal of the program is to promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through educational, health, nutritional, social and other services. M.I.S.D.'s Head Start program decided to invite a number of different agencies throughout the community that can help achieve this goal.
"in order to service our families, we need partners," Coordinator Emma Galindo told Big 2. "And so these partners are an important component of our programs,"
The Head Start program invited agencies such as Casa De Amigos, Healthcare Clinics, and more to learn about any new services they may be offering. The main goal was to create a partnership so they can work together to better serve these children and their families.
