ODESSA -- It's not everyday you have the chance to purchase a wild horse or a burro, but that's exactly what was up for sale Thursday at the Ector County Coliseum.
The U.S. Department of the Interior says providing a home for either of these animals is both challenging and rewarding at the same time.
"The horses come from the western states out west," specialist Crystal Cowan told Big 2. "They roam the public lands out there, and there is just too many out there. So we gather a certain number of horses each year and offer them to the public for adoptions like these."
The adoption will be going on at the Ector County Coliseum until 6 PM Saturday. There are currently more than 70 animals to choose from.
