MIDLAND -- Three Midland teenagers are behind bars for spraying graffiti in different locations across the city.
Midland Police arrested Joshua Valencia, Joshua Martinez and Ruben Rivera Jr. All three are 17 years old, and they're all suspected of plastering the word "DOPE" on a number of buildings around town.
The arrests came as M.P.D.'s night detectives teamed up with the directed patrol team to focus on the area of downtown that's been hit hardest by graffiti. The detectives were on their way to the area when they spotted two teens on bicycles. One tried to get away, but he was later found, along with four others.
Valencia, Martinez and Rivera are charged with criminal mischief with more than $1,500 in damages. Police are still looking for the other four teenagers.
