MIDLAND -- A New Mexico woman will be spending the next 5 years in a Texas prison after being sentenced for moving hundreds of pounds of marijuana.
Janet Lee Archuleta, 41, was sentenced yesterday in Midland's federal court after pleading guilty to a marijuana possession charge.
Archuleta was pulled over for speeding in Jeff Davis County in April. According to the Midland Reporter Telegram, D.P.S. agents searched her Chevy Blazer and found several burlap sacks in the back seat with 376 pounds of marijuana inside.
Archuleta will serve her sentence near Fort Worth.
