ODESSA -- Police officers across Texas were getting some DWI training Friday.
This training happened at the Standard Sales in Odessa and several other places around the state. The Texas District and County Attorneys Association put together a live satellite broadcast to dispel some misconceptions about drunk drivers.
In particular, they stress these cases are difficult to investigate, especially since many offenders won't give breath samples as evidence. An additional problem is that the cases usually take place in the middle of the night on the side of the road.
In total, 31 Texas cities took part in the summit.
