MIDLAND -- On Wednesday, West Texas welcomed members of the U.S. military who've been injured while serving our country.
The Show of Support celebration continued Thursday afternoon with a heroes luncheon at the Commemorative Air Force. And the servicemen that were being honored were blown away by this outpouring of support. One of the honorees, Jeffrey McFarland, said that all this showing of support made him speechless.
"I don't break down in tears very much, but during that memorial and the whole speech that they gave about what it stands for and how they're supporting us, it's pretty overwhelming," McFarland told Big 2. I had to bite my lip a couple of times."
The Show of Support continued on Thursday with a parade down Wall Street in Midland, and culminated with the annual "Hunt for Heroes" banquet at the Horseshoe Arena in Midland.
