ODESSA -- An Odessa man is behind bars after he was caught with thousands of dollars worth of marijuana.
Jesus Hernandez, 21, was arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop. Ector County Sheriff's Deputies pulled him over on Murphy Street, and when the deputies got close to the vehicle, they saw a white burlap sack in the passenger seat that had bundles wrapped in black tape inside. Turns out, those bundles in Hernandez's car had 64 pounds of marijuana, which they say is worth $29,000 on the street.
Hernandez is charged with felony possession of marijuana. He's being held in the Ector County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
