MIDLAND-- A new housing development is one step closer to going up in North Midland.
The proposed neighborhood would be built on 84 lots on the northwest side of Garfield and Mockingbird Lane. On Monday, the Zoning and Planning Commission approved a zone change, allowing Mockingbird Oaks Development to build homes in the area. The developer plans to build several upscale style homes on the plot.
There's been a lot of growth on the north side of Midland in recent years, and this project would continue that trend.
