WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Drug Enforcement Administration has announced its emergency plan to fight synthetic marijuana.
This action will give the D.E.A. temporary control over five chemicals that are used to make the fake weed. This means it will be illegal to sell the product or have it in your possession. The synthetic marijuana, also known as "K-2" or "Spice," is typically sold in head shops.
Opponents say the D.E.A.'s decision will do nothing more than help the drug dealers who sell the actual drug.
