Since the economy is stronger - especially in Texas - retailers are expecting a much better turnout than what they saw last year. Most retailers agree that there aren't enough hours in the day to get them ready for what they'll face beginning at 5 AM Friday morning.
"We spend quite a bit of time getting ready for Black Friday," Midland Best Buy General Manager Mike Williams told Big 2. "We change things in the store, move things around, try to get the hot items where they're easy to shop. You can go on our website. We post a map to make it easier for people to find the things they may be here for."
Most stores - including Best Buy - will open their doors at 5 AM on Black Friday.
