It looks like, the frigid temperatures outside didn't keep shoppers away from those bargains.
Managers at Midland Park Mall said that 2,000 people were waiting outside just for doors to open.
"A little overwhelmed, because going out in the parking lot you see all the cars you figure its going to be hectic," said shopper Luisa Torres.
First time black Friday shopper Luisa Torres had a full bag of goodies.
Even the cold weather didn't stop her from spending a buck or two.
"Almost, but I figured if their going to have good sales i want to take advantage of it," said Torres.
Torres wasn't the only shopper benefiting from the massive sales.
Store manager Lindsey Hunt said she's been ringing up customers all day.
"It's been busy there has been a lot of excitement customers outside the store since before three in the morning," said JC Penny Manager, Lindsey Hunt.
People were filling up those plastic bags with all types of things.
"A lot of sweaters, appliances for the kitchens, we have also been selling a lot of denim,"
said Hunt.
"I got a couple things for me and my son, so far," said Torres.
This year shopping was made easier by Simon Malls.
They introduced a new app which aids shoppers in finding the best deals.
It could even help you locate your car.
"Helps customers remember where they park. Mobile media involvement with four square its a great new tool customers can use to find sales and find out whats going in the mall," said Church.
What's going on in the mall was a massive day of markdowns.
With winter temperatures outside shoppers felt that Christmas is quickly approaching.
"It's not bad weather its just a little bit cool and it gets people in the Christmas spirit so," said Hunt.
