As more and more people turn on space heaters and other devices to stay warm, accidental fires can happen. That's why the Red Cross is looking for people to volunteer, to help provide for these families that might lose everything in a fire.
"My goal is to have 10 solid volunteers in every county that could help respond to disasters when they take place," James Parks of the Red Cross told Big 2.
If you're interested in helping the Red Cross, give them a call at (432) 563-2267. They can let you know what the next step is to being a volunteer.
