MIDLAND -- New Year's Eve can be a lot of fun, it can also be dangerous.
Every year, the Palmer Drug Abuse Program sponsors a fun, safe and drug free celebration, but they need volunteers to make it happen. It's called Celebration Midland, and organizers anticipate at least 2,500 guests this year. But, they can't put an event of this magnitude on by themselves.
"We have all kinds of booths that we need extra work, and eyes and hands," Palmer Drug Abuse Program Chairperson Mona Craig told Big 2. "We have jumpers, we need people supervising children. We have face painting. We have prizes to give away every 30 minutes, and we need help doing that."
Celebration Midland will be going on from 7 PM - midnight on New Year's Eve. It'll include free games, prizes raffles and food for everyone that attends.
