According to Comscore Online, shoppers spent over $1 billion. This makes Monday the first internet shopping day ever to break that number in spending. There was also a 16 percent increase in spending from last year. Comscore says this is because internet retailers are offering discounts that mirror Black Friday sales.
Comscore also says that half of the purchases on Cyber Monday were made from office computers.
