Car Fire in Midland

By: Jackie Smith
Updated: December 5, 2010

A vehicle caught fire in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Midland Fire Fighters arrived on the scene around 1:30 yesterday morning, where they say a vehicle was engulfed in flames.

The fire completely destroyed the truck and damaged two others around it.

It took fire fighters about 20 minutes to put it out.

Luckily no one was hurt, but the brother of the woman who owned the car says it's practically brand new.

And they'd really like to know who's at fault.

"This truck just came out of the body shop a day before. So they are still investigating. We are going to go through all the way. We're going to see what's going to happen and who is going to pay for it," said Jose, the Brother of the Vehicle Owner.

Fire officials say there's a possibilty that faulty wiring caused the gas tank in the truck to explode, but the investigation continues.
