Superheroes Teach Elementary Students About Throwing Out Trash

ODESSA -- When the wind blows in West Texas, it picks up a lot of dust, but it also picks up trash.
On Tuesday, some local elementary school students got a chance to learn more about litter. Some superheroes - the Litter Force - put on a 30 minute show at Blanton Elementary, showing kids how they stop the evil Trash Villains. While the show was entertaining, it was also meant to help children learn what "Don't Mess With Texas" means, and also show why throwing trash away is a good idea.
In 2009 alone, Texas spent almost $46,000,000 just picking up litter.
