ODESSA -- It's been a day that the University of Texas of the Permian Basin won't soon forget.
The President of the Commission on Colleges has reaffirmed the university's accreditation. President Watts says that he's very pleased by the announcement, especially since the university had to meet 88 standards to do it.
"They visited us last April and gave us a clean bill of health," U.T.P.B.'s Dr. William Fannin told Big 2. "As an institution, it basically reaffirmed the quality of instruction and programs here at U.T.P.B."
That accreditation will now last for the next 10 years.
