ODESSA -- The E.C.I.S.D. Board of Trustees met Thursday for a special meeting, the main topic of discussion was a new Tech High School.

Board members heard about the idea. If it ends up passing, the Tech School would have up to 480 students. Each would have their own laptop, and the method of teaching would be in a more modern way.

"We know that kids learn differently now," Special Projects member Randy Talley told Big 2. "They learn through technology, collaboration. They learn through teamwork. When they're engaged in their education, they really learn and it prepares them for the future."

The board will meet again in January 2011 to vote on the school. If it passes, they hope to have students enrolled by Fall 2011.
