The blaze flared up in the backyard of a home on 5th Street just before 7:00 PM Friday. Fire officials still haven't determined exactly what caused the blaze, but the flames quickly spread to the back of the house and went through the home's four bedrooms, causing major heat and smoke damage. The blaze later spread into the backyard of a home next door, affecting that house's water heater.
Crews on the scene were able to put the flames out quickly, but five residents of the home were displaced. Those include one teenager and two adults in wheelchairs.
