Reagan County Brush Fire Burns 1100 Acres

BIG LAKE -- A large fire threatened an evacuation near Big Lake Wednesday.

The fire broke out in a section of Reagan County near Big Lake Wednesday afternoon, and the winds helped the fire spread quickly. That blaze ended up torching 1,100 acres of land in the county.

At one point, authorities were considering ordering evacuations in Big Lake. No structures were threatened, so no evacuations actually took place.
