ODESSA -- Hundreds of local kids were celebrating Christmas at the Fundome in Odessa Thursday, along with some recognizable faces.

The Cat In The Hat was on hand, from the famous Dr. Seuss books and the P.B.S. show "The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That." The Cat has been at three other places this week, but Thursday it was on hand for the Permian Basin Rehab Center's annual Christmas party. The appearance gave kids at the center a chance to relax from the seriousness of therapy.

"Kids that usually come to us for therapy, that usually work really hard through the day when getting treatment," Leeanna Good told Big 2. "Today we're just having fun."

The party was also a great chance for the therapists to interact with the children. There were also lots of prizes on hand, and carnival games such as Plinko and basketball.
