Police Pursuit In Downtown Midland Ends

MIDLAND -- Police have called off a pursuit in downtown Midland.

The pursuit started around 6:30 PM near Carver and Orchard in east Midland. Officers were trying to pull over 48 year-old Robert David Redman, but Redman took off towards downtown.

Police found Redman's vehicle on Missouri near Loraine downtown. They set up a perimeter around surrounding streets called in a K-9 unit. They eventually found Redman in the Christmas tree in Centennial Plaza and arrested him.

Redman is charged with evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
