Man Arrested For Arson In Midland

MIDLAND -- A Midland man is behind bars after police say he set fire to his home, put out the blaze and called the fire department.
Jose Escobedo, 29, was arrested Sunday. According to an arrest affidavit, Escobedo lit a flammable liquid in his home several times.
Police say Escobedo poured the liquid from a gasoline can, which they found lying on his porch. Then, he lit the liquid in the kitchen and bedroom, before putting out the blaze and calling the Midland Fire Department.
Escobedo was charged with arson.
