MIDLAND -- In September, a Midland Police officer was terminated after failing a drug test. Now the City of Midland has announced what that officer tested positive for.

The city says Andrew Lowe tested positive for marijuana when he took a drug test after getting into an accident on September 5th. Lowe was patrolling a park on his ATV when he crashed into another officer's ATV. Since Lowe was injured in the crash, he had to take a urinalysis test, and the test showed he had marijuana in his system.

Lowe appealed the termination, but a court upheld it.
