Reeves County Commissioners Approve New Budget

PECOS -- Reeves County was supposed to have a budget passed months ago, but some challenges kept them from reaching an agreement.
Earlier this month, there was an all day session to hammer out the budget, but since it wasn't an official meeting, they couldn't vote. On Monday, they had a scheduled meeting, and the commissioners unanimously approved the new budget for 2011.
The new budget was a relief to everyone in the county. There was growing concern from county employees that if a budget couldn't be agreed on, some people would stop being paid in the new year.
