Registration Continues for UTPB Leadership Forum

      Registration continues for the 26th annual Texas Leadership Forum on January 12-14, sponsored by UTPB's John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Institute in Odessa.  This year’s forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Bastrop.

      Participants will hear as keynote speakers, presidential historian and Rice University Professor Douglas Brinkley, and CNN Commentator Donna Brazile who was also Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign manager. Additionally, attendees will choose from over 30 breakout sessions featuring some of Texas’ most prominent experts.  Among those will be Dwight Burns of the Texas Public Finance Authority; Deirdre Delisi, chair of the Texas Transportation Commission; Ross Ramsey, managing editor of The Texas Tribune; as well as CPAs, city government officials, attorneys, jury and other types of consultants. 

State officials will include:  State Senator Kel Seliger, State Representatives Pete Gallego and Tryon Lewis, Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, Rick Rhodes, assistant commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture, and former Texas Comptroller John Sharp.

      Networking with fellow professionals as well as with business, political, and educational leaders will be another benefit of this weekend event.  Discounts will be given for students, non-profit employees, and TLF alumni.
