ODESSA -- A man who's behind bars in Crane for setting a church on fire is facing more charges.

Steven Cantrell was arrested on Wednesday and charged with arson, after police say he confessed to setting the Faith In Christ church on fire Tuesday night. The church was destroyed in the blaze, and the remainder of it was turn down Wednesday. Crews said it the damaged structure too much of a hazard to leave standing.

Cantrell has been charged with four more counts of arson, after police say he set more fires in the area. Crane Police Chief J.D. Smith tells Big 2 that Cantrell has cooperated with authorities.

Cantrell is being held on $600,000 bond.
