Sheriff's Deputy In Serious Condition After High Speed Chase

A fatal accident in West Odessa leaves one man dead and a Sheriff's Deputy in serious condition on Saturday night.
This happened near the intersection of university and Westridge in West Odessa.
Ector County Sheriff Offical's say that 34 year old David Escudero was on his way to assist another officer in a high speed chase, when his patrol car hit a Red SUV.
One of the two passengers in the SUV was killed. The other passenger was transported with unknown injuries. The deputy is at Medical Center Hospital in serious condition.
