ODESSA -- An Odessa teen is facing serious charges, after police say he assaulted a Wendy's employee with a baseball bat.

According to an arrest affidavit, 19-year-old Luis Amancio assaulted an employee at the Wendy's on 3801 Andrews Highway in November. The affadavit says that 19-year-old Alyxander Terrazas was working at the drive-thru, when Amancio rolled up in a red pickup and ordered food.

Amancio thought Terrazas was flirting with his girlfriend, who was in the truck. He was angry and drove up to the Terrazas' pickup in the parking lot.

When Terrazas went outside to check on his pickup, Amancio allegedly got out of his truck with a baseball bat and started swinging at him. Terrazas ran inside the restaurant, but Amancio reportedly smashed the glass door, causing it to shatter all over Terrazas' face.

Amancio is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
