ODESSA -- A man accused of trying to hit Ector County Sheriff's Deputies with his car has been sentenced.

Jose Baeza received 10 years probation after he pleaded guilty to evading arrest and aggravated assault of a public servant.

Texas Rangers say deputies were trying to pull over Jose Baeza as he was driving recklessly on Loop 338 on August 1st. Rangers say he crashed into a squad car, and tried to hit a deputy who was on foot. The deputies, Thomas O'Connor and Mike Whitfield, opened fire and shot Baeza, ending the incident.
