MIDLAND -- Two Midlanders are behind bars, accused of keeping drugs in a hotel room.

William Johnson, 22, and Rosanna Alvarez, 24, were arrested Tuesday night, after police were called to the Days Inn on West Wall for a disturbance. Police say Johnson and Alvarez had assaulted each other, although both of them denied that.

According to an arrest affidavit, police found marijuana in the room and crack cocaine in the toilet. Johnson allegedly told police that the drugs were his, and he told Alvarez to hold them or he would beat her up.

Now, Johnson's charged with possession of a controlled substance, while Alvarez is charged with possession of marijuana.
