SEATTLE -- Two Seattle men will be spending more than two decades behind bars after they were convicted of beating an Odessa man to death.

Steven Bauder and Marcus Dennis were each sentenced to 26 years in prison for the 2008 beating death of Noel Lopez. Bauder and Dennis were both convicted of first degree murder, after Dennis took a plea deal and testified against Bauder.

Lopez was an Odessa native who had been working at a construction site in Seattle when he was beaten to death in April 2008. Lopez reportedly had a history of mental illness, which would sometimes lead him to challenge his friends to fight.
